“Workshops on eco-tourism”, 05th March 2015, Nijemci, Croatia; and on the 11th March 2015, Sremska Mitrovica Serbia

The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe within the SWG EC project: “Preparation for implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase”, supported the organization of the regional event “Workshops on eco-tourism”, which was organized in Nijemci – Croatia on the 5th March 2015 and on the 11th March 2015 in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia

The regional event „Workshops on eco-tourism“ was organized in two municipalities in the cross-border region „Drina-Sava“ in Nijemci –Croatia and Sremska Mitrovica –Serbia. The workshops focused on valuation of biodiversity in the function of agro ecology and eco-tourism as a model of sustainable rural development. Through the workshop two education were hold, and ten movie projects in elementary schools were organized in order to educated children and interested parties about the potential of eco-tourism and about the existence of bird species and bird watching opportunities in the local area for target groups.
