International sales tourist crafts fair, food produced in traditional way, old and artistic crafts: “Ethno bazaar”, 6-7 March, Sabac, Serbia

The Regional Rural Development Standing Working Group (SWG) in South-Eastern Europe within the SWG EC project: “Preparation for implementation of the Area Based Development (ABD) Approach in the Western Balkans – 2nd phase”, supported the organization of the regional event: International sales tourist crafts fair, food produced in traditional way, old and artistic crafts: “Ethno bazaar”, which was organized in Sabac, Serbia.

The fair was held in Sabac, where exhibitors from 18 towns and municipalities SHG Drina – Sava to presented their products. Hand made products, handicrafts, souvenirs, as well as domestic food products (cheese, wine, rakija, herbs, honey, and honey products) were exhibited in order to improve tourist promotion of the whole region.

Purpose of existence of fair was primarily preservation, protection and improvement of the development of old production and artistic crafts, in the aim of presenting creative economy in the function of tourism.

Workshops and lectures were organized as a part of the Fair, where people were trained in old artistic crafts, and at the same time educated about independent entrepreneurship were hold.
